The primary responsibility of the MA, LPN or RN is to assist clinical providers in the delivery of medical care, assisting the patient in compliance with an! d understanding of that care, and perform clerical tasks specifically assigned within the scope of practice as defined by the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act. Additional duties include acting as liaison with physicians and office manager, OSHA and CLIA compliance, monitoring supplies and equipment, and other duties as assigned. Medication preparation experience preferred. Will Perform PFTs and must have a working knowledge of Immunizations and Injections. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides and monitors safe, cost effective patient care in accordance with MA, LPN or RN scope of practice and adherence to organizations nursing policy and procedure. Duties may also include data entry to State of Nevada Immunization tracking system.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must show proof of current CPR prior to beginning work. An Office Laboratory Assistant Certification is required for this position or the ability to obtain within 30 days. Current state! of Nevada LPN or RN license or completion of an accredited Me! dical Assistant program with Certification. Minimum of one year in a medical setting performing like duties, or combined education and experience to equal 5 years. Knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 Codes, computer skills, referrals processing, and understanding of OSHA regulations. Excellent customer service skills, good patient service and telephone skills, and knowledge of medical terminology required. Must be dynamic, organized and able to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to perform all nursing duties efficiently and safely.
