Seven Hills HospitalHenderson, Nevada Two positions - Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) • Full time and PRN positions available• Weekend Coverage! , (8am to 5pm)• Acute Inpatient Psychiatric and Rehab/Detox Treatment Description Seven Hills Hospital, a 58-bed multidisciplinary private acute inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment center, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Therapist (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, (LMFT), to provide clinical treatment including: psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, case management, and treatment and discharge planning for our adult and adolescent patients for Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 5pm. This staff member shares in the responsibility with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in meeting the emotional, behavioral, physical and environmental needs of the patients in a chemical dependency and psychiatric in-patient hospital. Essential Job Responsibilities: • Provides treatment with the goal of re-integrating patient into the community with adequate supports and care in place to prevent relapse to an! acute level of care. • Utilizes various theoretical models ! for addictive behaviors as well as mental illness with dually diagnosed patients.• Provides group process oriented therapy using appropriate treatment modalities to develop coping skills and achieve emotion/behavior management goals to manage patients mental health symptoms; • Possess general knowledge of the DSM-IV, recognition of symptoms, diagnosis, and five Axis presentation as part of their documentation;• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the various theoretical models for mental illness, as well as addictive behaviors, being versed in, and aware of research and theory as it applies to dually diagnosed populations;• Complete Psycho-Social Assessments to document patients needs, strengths and limitations, and to identify treatment issues;• Complete Master Treatment Plans and updates to plans with a multi-disciplinary approach;• Demonstrate a general understanding of the range of treatment needed by CD patient, including discharge planning;• Advocate for ! patient needs;• Chart on daily groups, sessions, and other significant patient issues;• Communicates and records significant patient occurrences to multi-disciplinary team members;• Effectively communicates with patients who may be resistant, unappreciative and lacking in motivation to participate in programming; • Respond to patient and family inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum of a Masters degree and Licensed in Nevada in Social Work (LCSW), or as a Marriage & Family therapist, (LMFT).• Experience in an inpatient hospital or inpatient residential treatment center is preferred or comparable outpatient counseling experience.• Knowledge and experience with DSM-IV diagnosis, admission criteria for varying levels of care in treatment, commonly prescribed psychotropic medications for psychiatric illnesses, and community resources;• Ability to assess and interpret data about the patients status, in order to identify each patients needs and pr! ovide the appropriate care;• Knowledge and experience working therape! utically with adolescent and adult patients with mental illness and/or chemical dependency issues;• Ability to work as part of a team that includes nursing staff and physicians;• Ability to effectively communicate and work with external agencies and persons, including referral channels and patient families (when necessary);• Demonstrate strong boundaries;• Patient focused;• Enthusiastic;• Positive Attitude;• Compassionate and caring; Seven Hills Hospital is an equal opportunity employer
