The Market Manager is responsible for the overall operations in the market with the priorities of ensurin! g quality care, patient and Provider satisfaction for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, financial profitability, and practice development. The Market NP is an experienced clinical marketer with exceptional communication and management skills who is committed to the highest level of patient care.

Indirectly: Chief Nurse Practitioner Officer
Other Major Relationships:
Will maintain good working relationships with all Walgreens leadership to include the District Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Manager, Market Vice President, and retail partner Store Manager plus support staff. Actively work in partnership with Healthcare Clinicsâ support staff located in the market and overall company. Build and maintain good working relationship with collaborating physician(s), nursing organizations and universities.
Position Essential Func! tions :
Quality Care: Ensuring the highest qual! ity of care in our Healthcare Clinics.
Embraces and proactively supports the Take Care Health Services (TCHS) Commitments, Core Focus and Beliefs.
Provides direction and counseling to NP/PAs regarding clinical practice issues.
Responsible for addressing, tracking and resolving quality infractions such as medication errors.
Ensures TCHS scope of practice is adhered to in the market.
Patient advocate for the market, responsible for addressing patient complaints and concerns, elevating issues as needed.
Markets the development of clinical skill competencies in the market in coordination with the Market Education Coordinator.
Addresses clinical and operational issues in the market.
Assists in review and development of clinical and operational policies and procedures.
Responsible for OSHA and CLIA compliance in the clinics.
Responsible for conducting annual performance evaluations on all Providers in the market.
Interviews, hires, orie! nts and trains new Providers, and assists in market orientation
Provider Satisfaction : Ensuring Healthcare Clinic Providers have a high level of satisfaction and work-life balance.
Motivates and inspires Providers.
Involves Providers in decisions at the market level and encourages involvement in committees.
Ensures fair and consistent scheduling practices.
Works with Education department to ensure professional educational needs are being met.
Financial Profitability : Ensuring profitability of market based on market goals and financial objectives.
Provides clinical services in a clinic when necessary to maintain adequate staffing with a goal of 100% staffing of all clinics when needed.
Responsible for market staffing plan.
Accountable for market budgets and achieving financial goals related to patient volume clinical and non-clinical hours to minimize OT.
Developing Practice and Ensuring Operational Excellence : ! Ensuring market success by continually looking for opportunities to enh! ance operations and productivity of market.
Manages approximately 20-40 FT and PT Providers working in 6 to 12 clinics in a market.
Works in collaboration with the Clinic Manager to indirectly manage 12-20 Support Staff in the market.
Works with the Regional Vice President to identify when a clinic is eligible for Healthcare Technicians.
Initiates the on-boarding of HCTs through preliminary screening and interview of candidates and works with Clinic Manager to ensure appropriate staffing of clinics.
Responsible for training for the Market Education Coordinator, Clinic Manager, and Provider and ensuring execution of designated duties.
Ensures that Providers advocate clinic services to patients and store customers, achieve patient satisfaction study goals, and execute all promotional program elements including signage, EMR promotional codes and offers, and local outreach
Evaluates Providersâ ability to engage patients and drive overall patient vi! sits, and maintain a patient-friendly, branded clinic environment.
Virtual Market: capable of delegating responsibilities, mentoring and motivating staff and conducting conference calls.
Assists in review and development of New Services.
Liaison to retail partners, collaborating physicians, patients, referral base physicians, and community.
Networks and builds relationships with national, state, and local Provider organizations and universities.
Involved in meetings and committees as designated.
Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Regional Vice President and Chief Nurse Practitioner Officer.
Position Qualifications:
License Requirements
Valid Advanced Practice State License issued by the State Board of Nursing.
Valid accreditation from the AANP or ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
Valid Prescriptive Authority (per state practice requirements).
Meet and maintain all legal requirements pe! r state and national statutes to practice within state (for your market! ) as a family nurse practitioner
Current CPR Certification.
Minimum of 2 years managerial experience preferred (Charge Nurse in Hospital setting, Charge Nurse in Outpatient setting, ER/Urgent Care Supervisor preferred).
Minimum 2 years of clinical practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner, preferably in acute setting, ER, Urgent Care, member of QA committee, Infection Control committee preferred.
Member of national and local NP associations, organizations, and committees.
Business-minded healthcare professional interested in growing TCHS
Professional, friendly, a good listener. Experienced in coaching and developing providers and support staff.
Demonstrates high level of confidence in decision making.
Possesses superior interpersonal skills in dealing with all colleagues of the organization.
High level of proficiency in electronic medical records and information systems that will allow efficient communication and documentation.
Abi! lity to manage market Profit and Loss statement
Knowledgeable about billing and coding.
Required experience in Microsoft office suite as well as web-based applications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task under tight timelines. Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
