We are recruiting an additional BC/BE pediatric intensivist for a full-time position in our active an growing practice at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV. Our physicia! n and nurse practitioner team practices in a new state-of-the-art 12-bed PICU with an average daily census of 6 - 7. In addition to most pediatric subspecialists, conventional ventilation and iNO is available. Their growing sedation service sees about 30 - 40 patients per month. The pediatric floor is covered by our pediatric hospitalists and the NICU is covered by our neonatologists. Call is from home. Nurse practitioner coverage is provided during the day. This is a two physician practice so a full-time position is 15 - 16 24-hour shifts per month. Teaching opportunities are available with medical students from the University of Nevada. The hospital is a level II trauma center.Reno, near the Nevada/California border, sits in a high desert valley at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Residents and visitors enjoy world-class ski resorts, golf courses, gaming and entertainment. Outdoor activities include fishing, hiking, biking and canoeing.
