We are currently seeking Per Diem Weekend Registered Nurse to join our team. The carefully chosen candidates will work in collaboration with our patients, their families, the interdisciplinary care team, and the leadership team to meet our goal of making a difference every day, every time. Once chosen, our nurses are expected to act as role models in providing support to our patients, their families, and the entire Creekside Hospice staff. In addition, professional! nurses employed by Creekside Hospice must adhere to all compa! ny policies and procedures as well as regulatory compliance requirements and directives.

The job summary of the RN is to oversee and provide primary care, including all clinical care, palliative care, and symptom control and identify other physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs for assigned patients. Regularly assess the patient for nursing needs. Implement the Plan of Care Provisions to meet their needs, initiate appropriate intervention and support for the comprehensive and responsive care plan interventions. Work closely with other team members of the interdisciplinary group to ensure all patient and family care needs are being met.
Requirements
- Current Nevada license as a Registered Nurse from the! Nevada State Board of Nursing in good standing.
- Minimum 1-year experience in the field of nursing working in a clinical setting.
- Preferred experience in hospice, home health, medical surgical nursing or critical care with a focus on pain management and symptom control. New graduate RNâs may be considered.
- An understanding of the Hospice philosophy and the principles of death and dying.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills preferred.
- Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include but is not limited to, heavy lifting, transferring and/or repositioning patients and extensive repetitive bending and prolonged standing.
- Able to work all shifts including weekends and the ability to take call if necessary.
- Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
