A physicians assistant (PA)(locum tenens) practices medicine under the supervision of a physician and/or surgeon. In addition to a bachelor's degree, a physicians assistant must complete 2 years of accredited train! ing. They are trained to provide patient care, diagnose and tr! eat individuals with injuries and illnesses, and administer treatment.
