More details about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Post by Jobing - Prioritizes patient care needs (both physical and psychological) according to acuity. Ensures that all needed supplies and equipment are available for each pati! ent. Collects patient data as requested and according to unit protocol. Recognizes abnormalities due to disease process(es) and notifies the assigned nurse/Charge Nurse as appropriate.
Assess the following as indicated: Cultural/Religious needs and their impact on the patient's care, age specific indications, pain management, recognizes vital signs that fall outside of normal limits. Assists the Nurse in developing an individualized plan of care by providing data /information regarding the needs of the patient, incorporating patient/family/ significant other involvement and desire for care, and ageâ€"specific criteria. Assists the Nurse in revising the plan of care as needed by contributing ongoing information regarding the patient. Provides total personal care and/or assists with patient s activities of daily living.
Prepares patient and/or patient room for admission, transfer or discharge. Takes and records vital signs, height, weight, intake/outp! ut, and other measurements as applicable according to Unit sta! ndards. Implements safety measures appropriate to the patient s age and developmental stage. Recognizes and manages emergency situations effectively; is familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.
Demonstrates safe nursing practice in the prevention and recognition of complications. Demonstrates critical thinking skills as evidenced by safe nursing practice. High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
One (1) year experience in an acute care hospital preferred. Nevada Certified Nursing Assistant License. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required. CPI required.
