Provides direct and indirect basic nursing care within the Certified Nursing Assistant's scope of practice under t! he direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse

Assists physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills within the CNA sc! ope of practice
Manages and operates unit equipment safely and correctly
Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse
Demonstrates knowledge of current patient safety goals and NVH's policies and procedures supporting standards of care
Demonstrates positive oral and written communication skills
Communicates, in a timely manner, to supervising nurse any patient's needs, concerns, questions, data collection information or observed changes in patient's status and responses
Communicates appropriately with patients, their guests, and visitors
Communicates and collaborates with other health care team members to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient's needs and ensure a positive environment
Interacts with a high level of professionalism, respect and dignity
Maintains patient confidentiality
Participates in the clinical development of self and others by assuming ! responsibility and accountability for assigned unit activities
Demo! nstrates support for organizational goals for improving patient, staff, and physician satisfaction
Participates in the department's continuous quality improvement activities
High School Diploma/GED Required
(1) year experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
Licensed CNA in the State of Nevada
BCLS Certification required
Ability to work effectively with computer based charting and other clinical software programs
Adaptability to change, organizational skills
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
