Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within a liquid manufacturing facility operating under GMP regulations.
- Thorough understanding of GMP guidelines, quality systems, and regulatory requirements relevant to liquid manufacturing.
- Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
- Experience implementing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, including raw material procurement, production scheduling, and distribution, to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Implement efficient and scalable manufacturing processes to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with GMP guidelines, industry standards, and relevant regulations while maintaining product quality and safety.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of department managers and supervisors, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment that encourages teamwork and enhances overall productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Quality Control, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Supply Chain, to achieve company objectives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies, driving initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Implement Lean principles and other methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance the overall efficiency of operations.
Safety and Compliance:
- Prioritize safety as a top organizational value, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure that all products meet GMP standards and pass internal and external audits.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and resource allocation strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the facility's performance and make data-driven decisions to achieve operational targets.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring that proper contingency plans are in place to handle potential disruptions or emergencies.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on manufacturing performance, project statuses, and key initiatives.
