Job Summary
VeinNevada is seeking a Physician Liaison to grow practice relationships with the medical community. The Physician Liaison is responsible for developing, growing and maintaining long-term partnerships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical specialty groups and other clinical support groups to increase referrals and gain market share. The Physician Liaison works together with the Vein Nevada administrative and clinical team to implement marketing strategies that lead to increased market volume through measurable relationships. The physician liaison is responsible for executing initiatives related to increasing brand awareness, loyalty and preference to VeinNevada among external provider
referral sources. Additional responsibilities include coordination of public relations and special events management. The desired candidate will prepare status reports on marketing efforts and have familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the specialty medical field. The candidate will possess creativity in achieving goals and objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develops and cultivates relationships within the local and regional medical community
- Continually develops medical and vein disease knowledge in order to effectively engage with medical professionals regarding clinical evidence and service outcomes, efficacy/safety.
- Maintains relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and medical support staff to drive patient volume, enhance customer loyalty and exceed patient satisfaction.
- Assists in the delivery and presentation of specialty marketing materials to address prospective clinical partnership needs. * Implements referrals, relationship, and social media data to CRM (Saleforce)
- Communicates opportunities to the Medical Director or Director of Strategic Development to assist in the development of strategic objectives to improve volume.
- Conducts marketing calls with providers and clinical staff as appropriate to secure business.
- Schedules, plans and sets up for all VN outreach events—coordinates with marketing for set up and inventory
- Conducts monthly marketing reports to track field efforts
- Salesforce monitoring—reporting office visits, contacts, networking opportunities, outcomes and other relevant statistics
- Budget and management of marketing inventory—items to be given to outside providers;
- Holiday gift planning for VeinNevada staff and outside providers
- Assists in establishing targets, and implementing marketing plans to meet such targets.
- Acts as a liaison between physicians, clinicians and VeinNevada employees to resolve problems, provide and obtain information, and maintain positive working relationships
- Maintains confidentiality with staff, supervisors, patients, and family.
- Responsible for demonstrating knowledge of company policies, interpretation, and relevance to issues as they arise.
- Submits weekly status reports, and prepared to present such information during monthly business development meetings. * Maintains an awareness of competitive activity within the region and updates information as needed.
- Executes a monthly plan/budget and submits expense reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the Medical Director or Director of Strategic Development
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree
- Ability to work in Excel, Word, Power point, and CRM.
- 5 years of business development experience.
- 5 years experience with proven record of physician or medical marketing experience.
- 3 years experience with healthcare marketing.
- Successfully demonstrated meeting targets/goals.
- Ability to learn, analyze, understand and explain complex or technical information
- Excellent written and verbal, communication skills, including ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Must have strong, attention to detail, clinical/medical acumen and excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
- Must have a valid driverâs license.
