The Quality Management Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and promotion of Quality Management activities that promote! delivery of quality care and outcome improvement within the facility. This includes physician peer review, maintenance of physician performance improvement (PI) files, data collections, analysis, and reporting and facilitation of quality management teams responsible to the Quality Care Committee. Servies as a liaison to the Medical Staff Leadership, Department Directos and Managers, and other key facility personal regarding quality management/proactive patient activities and projects that support regulatory compliance. Collaborates with Corporate Outcome Measurement staff to assure data accuracy, integrity, and interpretation. Assists with the design and management of data utilizing MSM/QM and Corporate recommended software applications to promote conclusive outcome analysis.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience:
1.
Minimum two years clinical expe! rience in an acute care facility
2.
Experien! ce with QM/PI activities/process
Skills:
1.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal with and establish working relationships with physicians, hospital departments, administration and corporate personnel.
2.
Effective verbal and written communications, gleans information in both an active and passive manner with the ability to benefit from suggestions and ideas of others.
3.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
4.
Presentation, Training and Project skills.
5.
Ability to maintain professionalism and effeiciency during stressful situations and appropriately manage conflict and displays positive attitude.
6.
Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and MEDITECH preferred.
Licensure:
Current Nevada Registered Nurse License
