Under the direction of department leadership, incumbent is responsible for a variety of customer service functions including the continued develo! pment of Renownâs volunteer program and serves as principal contact for all volunteers and will have primary responsibility for recruiting, training, placement, retention, coordination of volunteer duties and assessing performance for individuals in these key roles. This position is to provide resources to ensure growth and development of the volunteer program, as well as advocacy and leadership.
Incumbent ensures the volunteerâs role positively impacts the patient and visitor experience by modeling Renownâs purpose.
Nature and Scope:
Incumbent
interacts with volunteers, management, employees, patients and the general public on a regular basis and is responsible to lead customer service initiatives and provide support service resources for departments in need.
Incumbent is responsible for the recruitment, background checks, volunteer ID badges and proximity card access, maintain volunteer files, training, evaluating, plac! ement and scheduling of volunteers.
This includes com! pliance with Renown policies, standards of conduct, local, state and federal laws, JCAHO/OSHA regulations, HIPAA and corporate compliance.
Incumbent is responsible to lead volunteers in various customer service efforts, including patient/family rounding, first impression lobby detail, and information desk coverage.
Incumbent evaluates the Program to monitor planning, development and improvement through communication and collaboration with department and entity staff where volunteer positions are in place.
Incumbent ensures goals of Volunteer Program are in keeping with the organizational purpose.
This includes facilitating supportive working relationships between departments and volunteers.
Incumbent encourages departmental participation in the evaluation and improvement processes of the programs .
This position ensures and incorporates policies and procedures, guidelines, standards and job descriptions for each voluntee! r in each position to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
Incumbent
is directly responsible for working with Renown and community organization leaders.
This position assists in the coordination of special events, programs and patient services, to include the Junior Volunteer program, health fairs, coordination of student interns, nursing serenity room activity, etc.
This position
does not
provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
Must have working-lev! el knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Experience:
Computer software experience in word, excel and powerpoint.
Experience in customer service leadership, volunteer coordinator and/or Human Resource experience preferred.
License(s):
Certification(s):
Prefer certification in volunteer administration.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
