Hospice Manager
you will be responsible for the Hospice RNs, LPNs, CNAs out in the field for the west team. Your team of nurses are responsible for clinical care and medical management activities across the continuum of care (assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating) as it relates to end of life palliative care.
Responsibilities:
Manages and is accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors.
Responsible for ensuring that the nurses provide quality/coordinated hospice services for patients assigned to the West Team's approx. 90 patients.
Responsible for ensuring that the hospice services are provided in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Responsible for the oversight of nursing staff to ensure hospice services are provided via an interdisciplinary plan of care.
Flexible and able to change daily scheduled activities with short notice.
Empathetic personality
Strong Hospice background is needed for this role
Qualifications
Requirements:
Requires current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of NV
RN diploma or equivalent is required
3+ years of nursing experience required (hospital and/or clinic based) required
2+ years hospice experience required
2+ years management experience required
Excellent Computer skills
Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others.
Thorough and current knowledge of hospice standards of care, state and federal regulations governing the provision of hospice services.
Preferred Assets:
Previous case management experience a plus
Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
